Default Nosecone/scuttle for alu sides..

I've been following the ups and downs of the various bodywork suppliers for a while on the forum - but am getting closer to the point where i want a nosecone and scuttle. I want to go with alu panels on the sides and back, as per the book, rather than the full GRP bodywork, but does anyone actually supply appropriate GRP for alu panels at the moment?

I am thinking that the scuttle / nosecones produced for a full GRP bodywork set will not line up that well with a 1-2mm alu panel attached straight to the chassis rails??

I used the Saturn nosecone, scuttle and bonnet on my car, with aluminium side panels. It lines up fine.

"Haynes Roadster / Saturn GRP Bodywork. Now available direct through http://www.gillhamonline.co.uk/ or "

Really?! This could be GREAT news for me - Gillham are about 10 miles from me !!! No more looking longingly to t'North where (almost) all the Haynes providers seem to be! Have Gillham got stock or is the kit going to be made and shipped from somewhere else and just 'sold' via Gillham online?

Hi John, I sent you a pm regarding the items. Currently Andy is supplying the bodywork for me. Let me know if you would like to discuss this any more.

I was thinking of the AGM bodywork which is mentioned here: http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=8371

Perhaps i'm wrong - but I was thinking "if having GRP sides adds 17mm to the width of the scuttle, how's that going to line up when I use 1.5mm alu panels..."
