Not in the amendment guides but... The book build of pinto fitted with the standard engine mounts doesn't fit with the steering column as described in the book. There's a thread by 'series Landy' ( i think) that covers it. I'd guess that so few builders have actually used a pinto that only a few of us have had the problem though...

dont know what you are doing but mine fitted fine when i had a pinto in the car.

Whatever it is both me, BrianBUg007 and SeriesLandy were obviously all doing it wrong... Perhaps they used different engine mounts on the Pinto over time? http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6865
