That has been milled out of one piece of steel you can see the end mill marks in the corners of the open section.

I'm not convinced, if you look carefully at all the corners/joints it bears the hallmarks of being hand finished.
Its also consistent with the chassis finish. Just my opinions like  Last edited by The V8 Files : 20th November 2012 at 10:28 PM.

Flame cut profile.
Arrow points to a 'start' for the inner cut, must be 20/25mm plate.
