Hi TT, hope your build is going well. Driving an XJR is an amazing experience, the power is endless, the more revs the harder it pulls. I timed mine at 0-60 of 4.8 seconds, not bad for such a massive car with all the toys. Used Jags with body damage can be had for virtually nothing, I reckon I could get a good cheap one, sell the usable parts I don't need, make some money and have a damn fine engine for free. It sounds believable when I hear myself say it :-)
A diesel Freelander does not quite cut the mustard but it's what we need out here. At least it does a bit more than 16mpg round town

wow, lots of builders. When I did my last one I was in Bracknell, Berks and there was nobody else for miles.
Anyone fancy meeting up to compare notes?
