engine should be ok as its not got mega hot
you can always change your rad fan switch to a lower temp one if you need. you running a m22x1.5 threaded one? ford colour coded the plastic bit on the plug for temp ranges if you have a 2 round pin one with a round plug
or have a look though a intermotor catalouge most rad fan switches start500xx or 51xx
