I will probably come to kick myself some time in the future for posting this but you can get any colour paint pre mixed in 10-20 hairy arse hole cans for about £20-30 more than the cost of the paint in a tin. Granted if you use them it will double the labour needed to make a clean job of it over using a compressor and gun, but not every body has a 3hp 200L compressor, an air fed mask and enough space to use it safely.
Lay down one light coat of etch primer on to keyed GRP leave to 'flash' then lay down one heavy coat of high build primer leave over night then block sand with 1000 grit wet and dry and panel wipe (do not cut this corner trust me on this!!!) Lay down 2-3 light coats of paint leave it over night then colour sand (2000 grit wet and dry then panel wipe) give it another 2-3 light coats then colour sand and panel wipe clean, 2-3 coats of clear to finish. leave for a week then if it needs it a light colour sand with 2000 grit wet and dry and G3 polishing compound or Tcut.
