Mine is not painted though, my whole car will be built up and then stripped down for final prep before full assembly as there are many things that may need tweaking as time goes on.

out of interest tt, how are you dealing with rivnuts? and anything that will be riveted on (panels, brackets, brake lines, etc)? is everything just offered up and temporary clamped bit by bit?

Bearing arrived this morning, removed the sloped rubber bush support and bolted the bearing on - much better! Steering feels nice and solid now, thanks for the help

My main cable/pipe runs are on service trays that are rivnutted at large intervals, clips/clamps are then fitted to the service tray.

Bodywork is either self cutting screws or rivnuts.

There are a few areas of brake pipe work that will be directly attached to the chassis but this will also be with self cutting screws.

The floor pan, trans tunnel sides, seat back, lower firewalls are permenantly fixed.

the re-build should only take a couple of days once everything is planned and trial built.

TT
