Top link that one.
 It would appear that Ford have allways included the engine number as the last 7 digits of the VIN . Easy to check the V5 to see if the original engine is still fitted. Even DVLA can't argue with that one or can they !!??  That will explain why my 1987 Transit has the engine number as part of the VIN.
