Let me just say this: if I search for 'haynes roadster wishbones' the top two hits are Gillham Online, the third one is an Ebay link that shows your stuff. Not bad, but can be improved ;-) Your web shop does not seem to appear on the first three pages.

Hi Phil,

You should always come top of the list when someone searches for your actual website/business name but its definitely a start. They have to already know about you to search for that though.

What you want to aim for is to be on the first page for "Haynes Roadster xxxxxx" where xxxxxx is chassis, flatpack, parts, wishbones etc.

Looking through your site you only mention 'Haynes Roadster' on the built chassis pages and its only a passing mention. It should be on all the items a couple of times to get it ranking in Google so you should re-write some of your descriptions. e.g. This is the wishbone page.

Quote:
Standard book spec rear wishbones for Sierra/Granada based builds.
Made in 2mm walled 25mm and 20mm ERW tubing, the M20 camber adjusters are included. The bush tubes have been rough bored to size to make the bushes easier to fit and also grip them.
Would read better to a search engine as.

Changing the name of the items will have a big help too. 'Rear wishbones' should be 'Haynes Roadster Rear wishbones' etc. this will change the title of the page in the browser too all of which goes into what the search engine sees.

Shouldn't take too long to rewrite some of this stuff but you should see a difference in page visits.

One last thing which is a bit more work is to have what are called long tail search results. This is where people type in things like 'how do I fit a scuttle to a haynes roadster?'. To get these you need to start a blog on your site and write some articles about the aspects of putting together a Roadster that people find challenging. Look through the forum at what people are asking most for ideas and maybe write articles as you build your roadster?

Cheers
Stot
