![]() buy online? seems a strange move to do away with tax disc on windscreen, surely police make quite a bit from "failure to display" etc. might not be too bad

![]() With the exception of needing tax imediately the vehicle is bought it seems pretty well thought out.
As regards taxing on a weekend: go online (they don't really want you using the post office anyway) And considering how quick the DVLA usually are about updating records you could probably drive it home on the last persons tax if you don't have internet at point of sale. And I like the montly direct debit too. Going to make the £485 a year evil poluting monsters much more affordable. |

![]() Nothing changes,read through the DVLA blurb until you come to the refund bit.
They will refund automatically if you scrap the vehicle "at an automated treatment facility" . ![]() Authorised possibly.
