I did the same thing when I crashed my Jester. Was on the road for 2 years first though.. :P They paid for the parts and let me repair myself. Took me years to repair it though as I lost the urge to build waiting for the cheque.

I think there may even be insurance policies based around self repair now as they save on labour costs so you can save on your premium.
