From memory I think I did on one side. As they can be removed from the frame You can remove them and adjust them while the engines hanging in the air. Once the height and position is finalised you can then drill through the baseplates for the final mounting position and bolting down. Then move on to the gearbox mounting. Mx5 engine positioning is tight for height and the far end of the gearbox so the flexibility is essential.
