Default Disk braked Sierra hubs/driveshafts/calippers

Hello folks would anyone have available driveshafts, hubs and callipers for a disc braked Sierra?

I need some

I have a related question, my sierra parts have drum rears, is that something that can be changed easily or do I need disc brake hubs?

You'll need disk braked hubs, the drum braked ones dont have a bracket for the calliper. It might be that just the back plates are different but I don't have one to hand (hence the advert!) to check.

Great, that's actually exactly what I was hoping for!

Finding sierra (merkur) parts in the states is hard enough, I was going to be upset if I had to find a new set of hubs to go with my drum rear end.

The only problem with these are that they are in line with the original bearing carrier, these are OK if you have enough clearance behind the bracket.

With the Roadster the upper shock/arm mount is in the way. Thats why the uprights are different for disc or drum.

What is needed is a bracket that keeps the bearing carrier in the original position but has the caliper mounts at 90°.

A bit like our ones

Question Drum-disc conversion

Thanks for the info John, I was hoping this was possible.

I am still unsure if rear discs are the way to go for sva, as isn't it necessary to have a brake bias adjuster, which will not pass sva unless of the automatic type? The setting up of which seems to be a bit hit and miss.

Does that then mean that if I convert after sva I would need new driveshafts and diff?

I would prefer the discs, but only for aesthetic reasons, surely drums on a 600kg car are more than adequate?
