how about a "brake fluid test switch" ?
to check that the fluid warning level bulb is working .

ah yes good point, but do you have to have it as a seperate button or can you have it linked to the handbreak light so that if it is low the handbreak light stays on????

Not sure about other cars, but on my Fiat the button is in the top of the reservoir cap. I don't think I have ever used it, so I wouldn't both with a dedicated switch in the dash.

i,m just going from a discussion i had with Spud69, i,m pretty sure that when he went for his SVA he had to have a means of testing the bulb within that circuit from within the cockpit area, it may well work from the handbrake switch, i,m not totally sure but i know Spud has a seperate switch that he can function whilst sitting in the drivers seat.

cheers
andy

also, how about a "gear indicator" as you are running a bike engine, they seem popular.

i don,t think you need a seperate bulb for the brake fluid lamp, its more a case of testing the bulb that reacts to the handbrake/fluid warning system.

by the sounds of it your dash will be pretty smart, Captain Kirk would be impressed

Ahh right that makes sence chears andy,

Yeh the dash is going to be quite creative sice i have very little space behind the wheel and i carnt put anything big above the tunnel since iv made a high shifter like in a rally car so im going to have to be quite creative as to were i put things but hopfully it wont be to like a 747's flight deck, you might just be able to see the shifter in my progress so far post
