Rolling Chassis
Well its the classic milestone of having the running gear on. I've using odd sets of wheels to push it around on. Hopefully I'll have the cash for some alloys later on. Engine is the 16v RS2000, onto a type 9. I've found out the painful way, unless the whole gearbox / engine sits forward 6 inches, I can't use a RS2000 alloy bellhousing
I plan to strip it this weekend, finish off some odds and sods welding and get it painted. |

Well done mate
I think a few people have reached this point recently. Since I got mine in everything has stopped! Still big plans to build the alternator brackets tomorrow and modify the remote gear linkage so it does not foul on the prop. I used the Ford V6, so I struggled to get the engine back far enough. Still the remote lever should sort that. Everyone missed Bonzo big day, rolling chassis and engine mounted. Maybe Ronnie will post a pic for the benefit of anyone who cant see it in the flesh?

Hi, firstly well done looking good.
second which rs 2000 bellhousing did you have? from a mk2 escort? the reason i ask is because that is what im using and its fitted in there ok but i did make my chassis to the mt75 dims as i was originally going to use one of those. Ray |
