Default fuel tank mounting

to mount my fuel tank i was going to rivet a sheet of aluminium on the bottom of the rear tub, so i can mount the fuel pump/filter and anything else i might need there.

Could i sikaflex the fuel tank to an aluminium base which is then riveted and bonded to the chassis? would that pass iva?

if not i would have to bolt the straps through a box section meaning i would need crush tubes which sounds like a lot of hassle to me.

Ben

can't you use rivnuts. or rivet on a bracket to secure the strap against?

could also do that. i was only thinking as sikaflex would be the most hassle free way of securing it.
