Hand Brake and Rear Drums

I didn't get a conclusive answer when I asked on locostbuilders with several people claiming they were definately right.

Does the hand brake cable come in from the front or the rear.
Eddys picture on my build thread shows it comes from the front, but other on locostbuilders claim you'd never get it in place so it has to come in from the back (effectively swapping your drums to the opposite sided).

Any thoughts here. also whats the process to shorten said handbrake cable?
