![]() I bought an R1 can from ebay to use with my pinto but I'm having a few problems with the inlet pipe as its bent to fit under the bike.
The pipe has 2 bends in it and I've tried heating and bending (with a long bar) but havn't managed to budge it. Can I cut the existing pipe off and weld a new pipe on (replace with mild). I've only got a mig and I don't want to go to the expense of changing wire/gas as I think the can is stainless. The weld will be hidden by an ally collar and I can paint to protect it but will it stick?? If not I'll have to get someone local to tig it for me. Hope I'm not blabbering again. Cheers Steve ![]() ![]() |
