Not long now before the chassis will fill the board  Looks like you have some nice equipment to work with

is that door paint on it?
if it is get the scraper out as it burns bloody well when welding. don't ask how i know.

Thats looking nice and a hell of a workshop there.
But Ash is completely right - you will probably need to put a sheet of 1/2" ply over the top, if you try and remove the paint it will still be in the grain and will burn and give off nasty fumes. Good luck with your build.....AndyH
