Hi Aidan

If you are using the first edition of the book, the drawings were noted wrong.

Here's a picture of some of my suspension components .... You may just be able to see which way the plate goes for drum brakes



The small flat edges sit in the upright horizontal for drum brakes & vertical for disk brakes

My Uprights are made for drums & have been test fitted on the rolling chassis, all is as it should be
