![]() Just found the answer on another forum, stuff I am looking for is lexan. You can slighty over bend it cold and it will keep it's shape. Ideal for making curved light covers like on a Fisher Fury,Deano,TVR etc. Thanks for all your efforts.

![]() Isn't Lexan just a trademarked brand of polycarbonate?

![]() To be honest I'm not sure if it's a trade name or not, all I know is that some polycarb. does not bend and tends to shatter when you bend it in a V die on a brake press.

![]() Lexan is a trade name as far as I'm aware but it is not just ordinary polycarbonate, its damned near indestructible which is why its used in bus stops etc. I was once asked to try and destroy a piece to demonstrate its toughness, it withstood 15 minutes of battering with a four pound lump hammer. it was badly deformed but didn't break.

![]() Makrolon is made from polycarbonate we used to use it for power press guards its immensely strong and can be bent too.
if you need to bend 180 degrees you prob need to talk to a plastic specialist Ray ![]() |
