Glad it's not just me - perhaps some of the manufacturers on here should include extra braces as part of their kits?

adrian h was the one that ben his pedal while trying to race another car off the lights lol. 5mm plate is a much better solution to the problem

Nope weren't me.
I made mine out out of 5mm as well


I did change to hanging peddles as I found the Roadster ones a bit short for my plates of meat

I think I saw Handy or spud say that Saturn also use 5mm plate for the clutch pedal. I had some 4 mm strip lying around so I tried that.

Same happened to mine, 3mm just isn't enough so they are all cut out of 5mm now.
