It doesn't matter with Pinto's as they stopped fitting them in cars during 1989 and in transits in 1992.

You only need to prove the age of the engine. The age of the vehicle it came out of is generally ignored.

A tired Pinto will cost more to rebuild and there are plenty of good Zetec silvertops still about that you couldbolt straight in.
