Yes Ash that's the reason I'm still undecided. I'm still looking for a whole cheap escort or Mondeo so I can use the original ignition/ injection system to save cash. The Carlton offer will be open to me for a long time cos the guy is not bothered whether it sells or not.

Think if you compared the same car with a zetec you would be well impressed with the extra urgency to rev compared with the lazy characteristic's of the pinto. Not called a boat anchor for nothing

I always thought it was because it was all cast iron?
