We are thinking of introducing a certificate for all new builders it will be issued following successful completion of the S.H.A.T. (Second Half Approval Test) which needs to be obtained prior to any new build commencing.

It will involve completion, by other half, of a multiple choice questionnaire, eg:

Amount of hours allowed on build without the "you think more of that car then me" being thrown up
How many cups of tea brought out per day
Xmas and birthday presents sacrificed for build parts
Amount of spend allowed per month
Acceptance of mood swings and grumpiness
When the swearing and banging emanates from the garage to give the builder a wide berth for an hour or so
Build budget allowed each month - including IVA costs
And So on

If the second half is in acceptance of these conditions then a test drive in a roadster will be given and hopefully, with a big grin, the second half will sign the SHAT certificate and the build can commence
