They can't prove your engine needs a cat because the Haynes Roadster Isn't in their data book. This means the emissions will be tested on the manufacture date of the engine. Ford will apparently give you a letter stating the age if you give them the engine number.

I hope all that ^ is true because that's the route I'm going.
