If there is a build up of material in the internal corners then you may have to buzz it down witha buzzing thing so it sits nice on the chassis...go steady though.
Better to fit side panels then clamp scuttle in place then the bonnet then the nose this way you can maintain a neat join between them all.

Patience is the key and don't forget to wear a dust mask when cutting grp as it's queer old stuff
