Surely the most basic setup is the pinto engine and type 9 gearbox is the ideal place to start, then ANYTHING is possible.
Usually depends on your knowledge, time, money and determination to find a way of fitting what you want. Pre 95 engines are better for emissions and pre 92 engines don't need a catalytic convertor. Most people fit the doner engine first and change later, cause its easier for IVA regs and registration purposes. Guys, have i missed anything?
