I assume you have some kind of padding / rubber mount to stop the vibration of the vehicle putting pressure onto that plate? That's what I'd be worried about, the weld splitting if its directly bolted to the chassis.
Just found the paragraph from the IVA Manual (03A Fuel Tanks) "fitted as to withstand the forces, vibration and corrosive environment to which it is likely to be subject"
