Question diy gear lever

hey all!
saw a pic of a bloke who'd made his own gear linkage earlier but forgot where i saw it!! it was on here!

question is what needs to be used is it a rose joint or a spherical bearing?

im guessing rose but not too sure

and reason being is id rather save money than paying for an expensive omega lever+link and make my own short shift too

Michael

yes it is ..but...i found that if you search for rod end bearing they are cheaper than rose joint for some reason ...
